Very easy course. People seem to over react to this course but the material is not that hard and testing is very fair!

I don't think this course is going to be offered any more. But it was ok..lecture=pointless. do the workbook and you can get a high mark. key to success in the mc and online quizzes.

Pretty tricky course! Make sure you master the Workbook. Lectures were nothing more than interesting and FYI. GO to tutorials.

Excellent course overall. The first prof was amazing! She knew all of the material and was very good at what she does. She made lectures interesting and got her point across well. I found it very easy to understand concepts when the prof can teach the material. The second prof was not as good, he was okay. The material was still somewhat interesting and the midterm and final were both very fair. Do the workbook material and the class will be easy. Attendance at tutorials is very unnecessary.

Didn't find lectures very helpful but went to almost every one, didn't attend tutorials though. Work through the workbook and get comfortable with the problems. Really have to learn the process and UNDERSTAND it and it will not be hard to do fine in the class. Found it interesting but did require a lot of work, working around problems but also learning content. One of those classes you get out of it what you put in, no doubt.

The tutorials and the workbook are great, as long as your TA was good and actually worked through the problems with you. The lectures were interesting, but I found they did not always help with the workbook problems. The midterms were killer, sometimes including concepts that were difficult to understand, and most of the questions were tricky. I had to take this course twice, and I put in LOTS of effort both times. The math involved can be tricky especially with complex pedigrees. Not a course for everyone. Looking over old midterms is VERY good.

Difficut but interesting course. The mark breakdown was probably the worst for me personally. Make sure to keep up with the workbook sections, and definitly attend tutorials. There's no reason why you can't do well, as long as you put some effort into it.

As long as you complete the workbook its very easy to do well in the course. Lectures are also very interesting! Midterms/Exams are about as challenging as any workbook questions.

Bad course, lectures are useless. Manual is key but the midterms and final are brutal either way. Few of my friends failed this course. 1 guy I know is taking it for the 3rd time.

It is very possible to do well in this course. All you have to do is attend lecture and work through the given sections in the workbook. The class was SO interesting and talked about many compelling genetic issues. The only people who didn't like it are people who expect to get good marks after putting in zero effort. LOVED IT and you will too!

The course is amazing. Yes, the M/C format is tricky, but if you read the questions carefully and thoroughly there is no reason why you cannot get a very high mark in the class.

This course was terrible. The multiple choice midterms were quite tricky, and the "more than one of the above" style questions made it easy to do poorly. If you have to take this course (most bio majors) find old midterms and finals and work on the manual regularly

Course was ok all you had to do is focus on workbook, lecture is more for interest. Recommend taking it in winter(easier questions) or summer-chance of getting higher mark couple of people did fail the course.
