If you didn't take biology in highschool do NOT take this course. Prof expected that everyone already knew what she was talking about - which I didn't because I only took Grade 11 bio. Textbook was a waste because it wasn't use at all for the class. The exams were all on stuff covered in class, nothing from the textbook. And all the tutorials I just ended up googling because they aren't in the textbook either. This class is a waste of time!

Course material is from Grade 11 Bio pretty much, but Prof expects everyone to know all the building blocks of Biology. Even though this is a B.A. elective it sure doesn't seem like it. Also, the textbook was $206.00 and I think I've used it 2 times... many of the tutorials you just end up looking for online because they are not in the textbook! What a piss off!!
