Comment :
Dr. Lu is one of my favourite professors at Guelph. He is incredibly nice and very approachable, always willing to help his students. If you are not an MBG major or you do not have an extensive genetic background, this course might be difficult but if you keep up with the material, then you will do well. This is no bird course, but it is easy to do well if you try and keep up. There were two grant proposals that you had to write with a partner, and two midterms, no final. Dr. Lu was very fair with his questions and the TA was really nice, took the time to hold office hours if you had questions for your assignments, and was a fair marker. Overall, this was a really good course.

Very hard, thorough course. Both the midterm and final are essay style so you dont memorize your answers -- you really have to integrate everything you know into your answers in hopes of getting points. When I took it the class average wasnt pretty.
