Comment :
A great introductory course to painting with acrylics and oils. Very time-consuming, but it worth it. If you have already painted something you will learn to do it easier and with better results. Value and color are the basis of this course. You will paint with acrylics at the beginning, make some portraits. At the end of the course you will use oils to make a couple of still lifes, and finally a model painting from nature. A final independent self directed project is required.

A course that you can either love or hate. Assignments given help you build basic techniques and eventually explore many new possibilities with painting. You better be prepared to spend more than 6 hours a week. This is a time consuming studio course that you will get frustrated in since paint is unpredictable and hard to work with at first. We look at painters work during lectures that will help inspire you.

Great introductory course! The boot camp in the first few weeks will teach you the most about colour and value and applying it to paint in the quickest amount of time possible.
