If you\'re interested in the field of education, I highly suggest you take this course. I loved every minute of it. Yes, there is a significant amount of reading, but if you\'re interested in education, the readings don\'t feel like work. The format of the class was 5 discussion posts (6% each), a paper (30%), and a final exam. The discussions are easy, and I found the paper to be both interesting/easy. You get to select from 11 different topics for the paper, so there is a lot of diversity. The final exam I found to be quite difficult. You are given the exam questions a head of time, but they are very lengthy, and require a lot of reading.

Course was ok, discussions were a large part of mark, otherwise a single paper. The exam was brutal, you're given all the questions ahead of time but there are 11 of them. Only 4 of which you need to answer on the exam, but she randomly selects 6 for the exam so you need to prepare for and memorize at least 9, and they are not essay or short answer questions. Exam would be MUCH better as a take home format, or change the number of questions you need to prepare ahead of time. This course is waaaaay heavy on the reading, but otherwise I did find it very interesting.
