Prof is cool and young, and makes the material much more enjoyable. She posts all of the notes online, and her slides are very clear and detailed. If you put a reasonable amount of effort into this course, it can be fairly easy to do well. Just be prepared to really study for the tests.

A lot of people didn't like Hank, but you have to find your own learning style. To me, he was a really great prof in the sense that he made class memorable enough for me to put on the exams! But watch out, he likes to use his examples on exams and ask you what you were talking about on that day. The textbook is entirely necessary because you use it for a full year, but the up-to-date textbook and the earlier edition are practically the same apart from the chapter numbers. You can get the cheaper one.

Thought this course was OK. The lectures were quite dull, basically involving the professor (Meegan) reading directly off the slides from CourseLink. Be prepared to do a lot of textbook reading - the majority of the exams are on the reading. Meegan does an amazing job of telling you exactly what you will be tested on from the textbook, make sure to use his reading list! The seminars were a little boring, but not hard. Midterm and final were not too difficult as long as you knew your stuff (know the definitions)!

Professor : Daniel Meegan

Comment :
This course was very easy to do well in. If you have Dr Meegan, it's an added bonus. He gives you a sheet that tells you all the questions on the exam and what pages of the textbook/what lecture each question is based on, so you don't have to waste time reading the entire chapters. Unfortunately, his lectures sometimes end up appearing on the exam, so don't miss class! But why would you even want to? he makes class very enjoyable and is a very cool guy. The exam questions can sometimes get pretty specific, but he doesn't ask you to define anything-they are mostly application types and aren't too bad if you know what you're doing and if you've studied well. The brain parts can get annoying to memorize, though. Definitely buy the textbook! The tutorials are also really easy. Basically every week you have a reading to do and you are divided into groups. There is a group leader who leads the discussion on the reading. Just pray that you aren't stuck leading the one on orgasms! There is a reflection that is worth about 10% of your mark which is extremely easy. I got a 90 in this course without having to sweat too much.

This class is so boring, it's really hard to stay awake. I would not recommend this course to anyone. I am only taking it as it is a requirement for my degree.

I had Olthof, and she for 1100 it was just lectures with her and no seminars which I really liked. If you read the text book and added notes from the textbook to the notes she posted online, it was really easy to study. It was all multiple choice but if you actually take the time to study hard it's pretty easy to get 90s on both midterms. The paper was pretty simple as well, but only once you get direction from a TA or the prof because it's hard to get going on it. I got a 90 in the course and I'm not super bright.. unlike a lot of people I thought it was fair and interesting

I had this class with Olthof, not Meegan. It is a really good class, you really don't need to actually go to class to do well in the course. She posts all her notes as powerpoints and you can just read those, you'll be fine. YOU MUST DO THE TEXTBOOK READINGS. most of the evaluation material is covered in class but you really have to know the textbook material to answer a lot of the questions. That being said, the material is really interesting, and she does a good job teaching. the 7% paper is really stupid and kind of confusing but not hard to do well on. Overall the two midterms are very easy, can't comment on the final yet. I'm to a great student but I find this course to be really easy and interesting. Definitely a good elective and an easy 90 if you are willing to put the time into it.

Get Meeghan! Get Meeghan! This class is good. Very textbook based but if you do the readings you'll do great. Meeghan's really good- he tells you exactly what's on the exam and put on the exam what chapter the question comes from. He's really good. I got an 87 in that class

To do well on the exam you have to know your text in and out. Lectures are useless but theres still exam material in them. Seminars are boring as hell. Overall, very interesting course but takes a lot of reading to do really well.

This course was unbelievably unorganized! the seminars were very pointless and the lectures helped very little, I don't fully comprehend how they can talk for an hour twice a week and you still have to read the whole text book over and over agin to even pass the exam non of the lecture material was relevant to the exam in any way

interesting course, i don't know why i didn't do as well as i expected. the seminars are unbelievably pointless, i felt like i was in therapy. if you are a facilitator, make sure you have very good discussion questions. midterm and exam were only MC questions, so it wasn't so bad but people (including me) managed to mess it up. i guess they were pretty tricky
