Comment :
Had a late 3 hour lecture for this class, but Lindsay made it enjoyable with lots of stories and enthusiasm. Labs are easy and the TA basically showed us how to do each question before you actually work on them, but they require a little bit of time (We did a couple using Google Earth). The midterm and final were non-cumulative and based solely on the lecture material (though he did assign readings, I never did them). I finished with an 84 and if you pay attention and take good notes it\'s easy to do well. There was also a field trip. The location was fairly benign at first, but it was neat to see what processes could be inferred based on the landscape there (normally wouldn\'t have given it a second thought). I wasn\'t thrilled about Geo when I took this course, and now I\'m lined up to get a minor in it!

Both Prof.'s are awesome. The course itself is really broad but it only covers interesting subjects. If you're not sure if Geography is for you, then taking this course will tell you if it is or not.

This is a great course if you are thinking about geography as a choice for a major. If you have a choice get John as your prof, He makes the learning fun, and he is truly interested in teaching us. If you are going to take this cource, make sure you take lots of notes in class, AND DO YOUR READINGS, OR THE EXAM WILL KILL YOU!!!
