Course online was decent... however, the prof was by far the absolute worst prof I have ever had in my 4 years at UOG. I agree with \"B\" below. She does not take the time to help anyone and responds hastily to emails, I could go on for days....DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH DAWN DIETRICH YOU WILL REGRET IT! Again, worst prof ever decent course.

I took the course online. The professor is not the greatest. When asking questions in the discussion posts, she would not answer the questions fully. Her guidelines are instructions are rather complex and not easy to understand. I took the could thinking it wouldn\'t be too bad but regret making the decision. Its not worth taking unless it is related to your major. The workload is heavy and it is honestly not worth it being your elective.

The course was fine and as enjoyable as you\'d expect it to be, with a lot of readings though. You can easily get a 70% but to get an 80% you need to double the work. My main concern is the professor. I personally found her unbearable. She responded to my emails with answering one question even though I asked her around 3 every time. There\'s always a tone of rush and as if she\'s scolding you for being an idiot. I asked for her help with the textbook because I had an older version (because I couldn\'t afford the new one), her response was to fly all the way to Guelph (it was a summer course and I don\'t live her during the summer), so I can look at the book on reserve in the library instead of bothering helping me out with an answer that couldn\'t have taken more than 5 minutes of her precious life! Her marking scheme is from hell, very ambiguous and unfair. I felt the entire time like she was out to get us. I don\'t understand the point of acting so superiorly to your own student. Probably the worst professor I\'ve ever had. Even though I fairly didn\'t mind the subject and the intense amount of readings (which were awfully disorganized in terms of chapter subjects if I might add), every time I opened the textbook or Courselink I felt like punching somebody. Also what is the point of assigning almost 100 pages for every chapter? Even though we might not all have PhD\'s we do have summer jobs, family, and other courses as well.

Interesting course. Essay is easy. Go to class and listen and you will do well. Bennett is interesting, Silver is alright, Bradshaw is boring.

Dr. Bennett was an unreal prof, made me want to go to class. Very interesting material too. If you go to lectures the midterm is very easy.

Pretty interesting course - as it effects all of us. The material is easy to grasp, and relative. Bennet is a great prof, he did his best to engage a 8:30 class and made it interesting to come to class. Kuhn is a good prof as well and is really passionate about what he does. Great course, glad I took it as an elective!

profs are very passionate about the course. it is SUPER EASY to do really well in this course if you go to class. Midterms are very much based off them. The research paper is long but can be interesting if you find a good topic.

The prof for the first half is great.. very outgoing, knows what he is talking about and likes to initiate discussion within the class. The midterm was very easy and straightforward.. no surprises. There is a research paper that is a pain, but not too difficult. Go to class, study for the midterm/final and you should be fine.

Very easy to do well in, I would recommend it for any arts students that need a science credit, I believe this counts. The prof that usually teaches it is hilarious and fun, even through long lectures. If you know what global warming is, you will probably pass with flying colours.
