Course is a review of 2400 up until a couple weeks in. Prof is very thorough, takes a long time explaining concepts, but this is better than most profs who don\'t teach at all. Midterm is fairly easy. Labs are weird and pretty boring, they were on concepts we hadn\'t learned in class yet so no one knew what was going on (including most TAs). If you don\'t know MATLAB programming, they can be tricky, but otherwise you can do well. Final exam content is challenging, and his homework assignments don\'t really line up with what he teaches in class. Some questions with PID and root locus seem to have multiple ways to solve them, however it seems like he only teaches some of the ways to solve. Textbook wasn\'t really needed. Overall, this course shouldn\'t give you too much trouble and is pretty manageable if you understand math and systems concepts.

Great prof, very thorough. Honestly first half of the course is pretty much a review from 2400. Textbook barely used at all. Midterm is generally easy compared to the final exam. Labs are not bad if you understand the concepts and have coding experience. However, the labs cover material that you havent learned in class yet so having previous years labs are key. Sometimes his homework assignments are completely different than his lecture examples. He doesnt post any of his notes. If you have him for mechatronics too, the material will sometimes overlap which is generally a good thing. Final is more challenging than the midterm.
