BORING. But easy. Design seminars = Boring and uninteresting, although I guess people who enjoy engineering would like them. Autocad etc. = HARD. Absolutely hated those seminars. Alex Galvez goes WAY too fast and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Same goes for the Excel assignment. Just cram for the final and that's about it.

If you can handle this course, then you are in the right place, because this course is a true representitive of what Engineering is like. You can definitely pass the course if you show up to the design seminars and put some effort into your work/design project. Remember that this is a 0.75 course, so the higher mark you get, the better. So do your best to get perfect marks and it is not that difficult to achieve this. Final exam is difficult.

Comment :
This course is mainly taught by the worst TAs ever. The two profs only teach lectures but that stuff is basically useless because it's mainly common sense for engineering students so don't bother going. The MAIN chunk of marks come from the TA's marking, which is horrible. Everyone agrees that the TAs don't know how to teach or mark. The graphics TA (who teaches AutoCAD), goes way to fast and everyone is left asking each other what to do. The seminar TAs are horrible as well. They don't initiate the class properly and don't give any instructions on what to do. Their marking is terrible as well. Everyone scored so poorly on the Final Design Reports which the TAs marked), that the profs had to lower its weighting. The excel assignment is a perfect example of how bad the TAs are. No instructions, outline or help and very difficult marking. Good luck with this course!

Lectures are useless. Easy class. Don't buy the textbook. Study for the final. Average boosting course.

Great course on what is Engineering and what to expect from the next 4-12 years. I still use the textbook 4-10 years later...

Interesting course, but a lot of work. If you stay on top of the work, you will do fine. Lectures are super boring though!
