XSEN * 4160 – Network Servers and Peripherals F,W (2-2) [0.50]

This course introduces the student to multi-OS network environments with emphasis on operating system configuration, troubleshooting, network administration and maintenance. Specific topics include Windows 2000/XP/2003 and Linux installation and/or configuration, server setup and interoperability in multi-OS network environments, backup systems, printer systems, network attached storage and network security. In conjunction with the microcomputer repair course MIR355 and operating system/networking knowledge from other courses in the program, this course also prepares students for SMB (small and medium business) network consulting.
