Comment :
This course is a lot harder than STAT 3100, and it goes a lot more in depth than STAT 3100, but I found myself feeling like I was actually learning statistics; that what I was doing in Assignments and learning in class could actually be applied to the \"real world.\" The assignments are fair, they are not easy by any means and the midterm is pretty hard, and it is detrimental that you know your probability distributions. The second half of the course is MUCH easier than the first half, so if you can get through the first half of the course, you\'ll be okay. Professor Feng is a little hard to understand at first, but she is extremely helpful when it comes to office hours! Her notes are well written and they make it easy to study from. A good but challenging course to take for anyone in wanting to be in the stats field!

Comment :
The course: When Taken with Dr.Deardon, the course is well organized and structured, and the notes are well written and clear. I found the textbook lacked some details and examples in some cases, but was very useful overall This is not a course I would take for fun, but if you want to become good at statistics, this is your chance. Lots of proof based questions on assignments (that can make your brain melt) but the midterm and exam were fair. This was by far the most helpful course I have taken in university, since it helped me learn how to study, challenged me and really turned me into a statistics student. This course was much more indepth than Math Stat I, and I found you get a lot more out of it. Don't be intimidated though - if you work hard and stay on top of the material, you'll do well.
