PSYC * 2330 – Principles of Learning F,W (3-0) [0.50]

Would not consider this a introduction class at all. Found this class very hard and the prof gives you little to nothing in terms of time for the tests and midterms leaving students scattered. A lot of discussion questions left unanswered when students had questions and expected to know a lot of material even though it was never explained in detail. Would not recommend!

Professor was a babe, but this class is difficult. If you don't grasp the material on the first shot in class, you are screwed because the textbook is useless.

Very interesting course, but not a bird course. ALWAYS show up to class and always take detailed notes because you will not remember the lecture if you don't take notes. Textbook is not necessary if you take good notes and the textbook is useful when some major theories aren't clear. But you can get the book on reserve. Always write down the "review" questions at the end of each lecture because they WILL show up on your midterms and will give you at least a 5% boost!

If you can get Leri for this class then take it. He's a FANTASTIC prof and if you pay attention you'll learn some amazing things. HOWEVER, HIS TESTS ARE VERY DIFFICULT. The textbook is useless don't waste money on it - just GO TO LECTURES. ALL OF THEM. AND TAKE GOOD NOTES.
