This course really isn't all that bad. If you go to ALL the lectures and visit the TA's during office hours and have them check over your labs you should be fine! I finished with a 91 and didn't really spend that much time studying outside of class. If you have a firm grasp on SPSS then you'll pass this class with flying colours! :) p.s., Stanley has the best and most detailed lecture notes of any class I've ever taken! Be grateful!!!

The course wasn't as hard as some people make it seem. It is very straightforward as long as you attend the classes. I wouldn't miss any class because they go through step by step what to do for the assignments. The course is made up of smaller assignments that you get pass or fail on and major assignments that are graded. There is a lab exam at the end of the semester right before the final. I don't recommend you buy the textbook for the course because the lectures provide most of what you need to be successful. However, if you are planning on doing a thesis, most TA's told us the book is very helpful later on when analyzing data. The same goes for the APA manual, but you can get most of that info online. Stanley was a very good prof. Always asked us for feedback on how he was doing and adjusted his presentation. His assessments were very fair. It was also more enjoyable than I expected but I wouldn't say it was interesting. I would only take it if you needed to

This really isn't that bad of a course. Being terrible at stats, I was nervous about it and would never had taken it if it were not a requirement. However, the course is really straightforward and Stanley is a great prof. The assignments can be a bit tricky, but just show up to lectures and labs and you'll do fine. I expected to fail and my mark is in the 80s!

This is an amazing course! I don't know why people are so critical of Stanley! He was very helpful, always offering assistance during his office hours. If you try and participate in class, then he'll reward you with a great mark! He appreciates hard work and effort.

First off, the textbook is pretty useless. At least it was only $30. Secondly, I'm usually an 80s student, and expect to finish with a 50 in this course... Be prepared to put a lot of work into this, attend every lecture and lab, and maybe hire a tutor... and after all that, this course might still kick you in the face.
