Great class! Prof. Spears is one of the best professors I have ever had. He can facillitate two different discussions in class while lecturing at the same time and making everything make sense too. he is a very dynamic speaker and his classes were a highlight of my week. He has a way of being able to argue every side of an issue without taking a particular one. You leave every class thinking about something. The first few classes are a bit dull because the material is very theoretical but it all comes alive once you begin looking at real world issues. I highly recommend this course, this is coming from a B.Sc student who needed arts electives. One midterm (25%), one final (40%), one short paper (30%), five quizzes (1% each)
