I took this as a DE course, but they seemed to change it up a bit this summer 2015. There were 3 quizzes and 2 assignments instead of 3 assignments and 2 quizzes which I really liked. The quizzes are multiple choice straight from the textbook readings, and the 2 assignments were straight forward and easy to get very high marks on. The final exam was all multiple choice and 80% based on the last 4 chapters of the textbook rather than the full 13. I would definitely recommend this as an online course since it was quite stress-free and you can earn a good mark!

Took DE course, so I'm not sure how it compares to the one in-class but... consists of 3 assignments, 2 quizzes and a final. The quizzes are easy but the essays/assignments can be a bit of a pain (marks easily taken off for minor things). First two are fairly easy marks.. Last assignment (fad diet) is probably the worst assignment I've ever had to do. I would probably avoid the course (unless this course is required) just to avoid it.

If you have Dr. B, this class is really enjoyable. A little hard if you have no background in science but informative and fun. I recommend it for the science credit for arts student and no textbook required!

took the distance ed version, wish i had done it in class though because it was hard to tell what they were looking for in the exam, but it is overall pretty easy to get a good mark and is a good general nutrition course

Definitely an easy course to get your natural math and science credits out of the way. As long as you go to the lectures and actually study for the midterms it is a fairly easy class. A lot of what you learn is common sense type of stuff but I found that Prof. Haines makes it fairly interesting. She's definitely approachable and really easy to talk to!

Like any course, keep up with it! It's fair and "easy" to get 80+ in this course if you do all the assignments and quizzes.

Really interesting course! If you are into nutrition at all you will enjoy it. There are two midterms and a final, none are cumulative.
