An introduction to the atmospheric environment which covers global to local scales. Topics covered are: understanding weather maps and forecasts, weather indices for plants and people, local-scale microclimates of natural surfaces and cities, intentional modification of microclimates, diffusion of pollutants in the atmosphere and their impact on air quality and climate change, policy issues associated with air quality and climate change.
