Comment :
Very interesting course with two midterms, a group presentation and a final. Professor Bendall does a good job of explaining concepts, but it is recommended that you go to class and take good notes because the lecture slides are very basic and require further explanation. The group presentation involves presenting the concepts of a paper assigned to you by the professor. The midterms and final are challenging and require you to apply concepts learned in class instead of just regurgitating information. There is also a lot of information and memorization involved, so give yourself ample study time. I would also not recommend this course to someone who does not have a strong background in genetics as it builds on a lot of concepts that the professor assumes you already know, and does not review them. The textbook is a good resource for understanding the figures used in the slides.
