Prof was funny and interesting to listen to! Material I didn't find to interesting, I only took the course as an average booster. Easy to get a good mark, finished the course with a 92.

First of all - no textbook, and no lab. Which is fantastic for an MBG course. I took this course as a grade booster (which it was - I went into the exam with a 98). I did find it pretty interesting, but I don't know if I would take it again if I could do it all over. It was easy, but there are weekly quizzes and the class itself is kind of a pain. It takes some work to figure out how everything fits together, but once you get it, it's not hard. There are only so many ways he can ask questions on exams. Andy Robinson is a great prof, but he doesn't do as many examples in class as I would have liked. He kind of just goes through everything and leaves it to you to figure it out (which you can, it just takes a while). He's funny, tells jokes every Friday, plays music before class starts, and he puts bonus questions on the exams that have nothing to do with genetics. He even made a Facebook group for the class so everyone could work on things together. I would recommend this course if A. you want a grade booster and you don't care about how interesting a course is or B. you find livestock breeding programs really interesting...

This seriously is my favourite class. There is no textbook and the course consists of weekly quizzes and an equally weighted midterm and exam at 40% each. The quizzes are easy and there are practice questions to complete that are VERY similar. The classes are very interesting and if you miss some, he posts podcasts of each lecture to D2L. Take this course, you won't regret it!
