If you enjoy yanking out your hair, punching walls, breaking things, screaming and feeling helpless to the point of depression, this course is for you! Never before have I taken a course that makes me hate learning so much. I literally switched out of being a math major because of this course. If you have some sort of death wish then go ahead, but if you appreciate your sanity just the smallest amount I\'d highly recommend picking some other 3rd year math course.

This course is a huge step up from MATH 2160 (which is now MATH 1160). The proofs to this course can be very challenging and the material isn\'t just something you can look at and be \"okay, I get it.\" You really have to put in a lot of hours to actually understand the material and apply it. The assignments can be challenging and they also require a lot of hours of work. The professor and the TA however make this course very manageable, they do a very good job with the material. I would also recommend doing other 3rd year math courses before this one. Overall, if you put in the work and spend time on the material, you\'ll pass and do fine, but I wouldn\'t take this course unless you had to.

Did the student enjoy the professor? Yes
Professor : Fischer

Comment :
Fischer writes the same notes down on the chalkboard year after year. He is very helpful, but difficult to understand some of the time. The test questions are modified from the assignments, answers can mostly be found online. You get a cheatsheet for the exam.
