This course is an introduction to the history of Islam. The course will consider the founding of Islam, and its global diffusion, from the seventh to the fourteenth centuries.

Good course - usually offers a view on history never taught AT ALL in any other courses and certainly not in high school. Does get a bit tedious in some areas (to be expected in some areas of history) and unfortunately has to jam a lot of historical time into one semester. Worringer was an easy going prof.

I really loved this course. The prof (Walsh) was amazing and kept classes interesting. If you do the assigned readings then you are sure to do well.
