HISP * 1100 – Introductory Spanish I F,W (3-1) [0.50]

Really easy course but you will have to study (not for long) for the tests. Easy marks are given for participation in seminar and in lecture which are really simple to get (Prof. Mohan and the TAs basically force you to participate). It\'s built to be an introductory course so as long as you do the assigned homework each week (takes maybe 10 min tops) you will be fine. You MUST buy the textbook though, it is the bread and butter of the course. The prof is interesting. Lecture slides aren\'t that easy to follow but you should be writing your own notes anyway since they\'ll be cleaner, more condensed, and only have the essential stuff.

Really easy especially if you have taken french or another language. All speaking is participatory, there are no writting assignments only online quizzes after each unit. Sometimes frustrating because you dont get to practice conversation like most introductory courses but it gives you a really good foundation. The text is really useful but expensive. Buy it off the cannon if you can, dont worry if the work book has writting in it you can copy the work out and you do not use it all that often.

Can you say uno, dos, tres? If so you can get 90% in thsi course. LOL We watched Dora videos, learned the alphabet and counted to 10 in the first 2 months.
