Comment :
Not at all as advertised. There was a heavy focus on market fundamentalism, capitalism and environmental justice as they relate to global change and indigenous issues. Be prepared to actually read and write from the POV of your prof for book reviews. That said, not at all content heavy and exam was fairly straightforward. (DE)

The updated version of the course is a lot more pointless work and the book reviews are impossible to do well on. Pass on this course

I recommend it for an easy credit if you are not a hard working student. This class is a joke. Also take it in DE. I took it in class and the Prof was aggressively feminist. She even went so far as to say "women should make all environmental policy decisions because men are less in touch with the earth". As an enviro sci major I was extremely offended.

Don't advise lecture course take DE version. Lectures state the obvious for 3 hours, a week and yet midterm/exam test on your opinion. More humanities than a course that explores any science, took 1220 and yeah its not even that similar.

I took this course online and it was a huge joke. I never did anything and finished with a seventy based on about 6 hours of work all semester if you add it all up. It might be different with an in class prof but as far as DE goes this was the easiest credit I've ever received, it's all common sense.

I registered for this class DE, basically forgot about it the entire semester until the final exam and finished with an 80. Very easy, almost a waste of time but if you need an extra credit I would chose this to fill up your schedule.
