[DE] Not too bad if you follow the course schedule and read and understand a chapter every week. There are a lot to memorize though since you have to remember the specific terms. The textbook is essential* as the notes provided on courselink only gave an overview of the topic. But the Prof and TA\'s are quite helpful and quick to respond. You get 2 quizzes of 60 questions for an hour (which is tight if you\'re planning on looking the answers up), 4 assignments (word, excel, powerpoint and access/java) , 2 group discussions and the final exam which is also online.

This course is definitely easy if you take the DE. I am not sure how the in class is set up. The assignments are all easy. You get two attempts, and after your first attempt you will know exactly which components you got wrong. Quizzes are very easy, you get a full hour for 50 questions in an open book online format. There is a group discussion portion, which is also easy but make sure you use citations. The exam is worth 30% of your mark and was out of 180 but you were allowed a one page, one sided cheat sheet. As for the professor and TAs, the only complaint I have is the time it takes for a response, and for marks to be inputted. To be fair, the prof did respond to my emails a few times promptly, but other times took about four days. Without a doubt you should take this course. It is a great mark booster.

I hate this course, mainly because it caused so many problems. If you have a Mac, and you have the option to take CIS*1000, take that because 1200 and 1000 are basically the same course, they just focus on different content. They use the same textbook too. If you have to take 1200, than you can set up boot camp on your mac, but that costs a lot of money so you most likely will have to do your assignments in the library. DON'T get your friend to send you the blank assignment file from their account to your mac because you will be accused of plagiarism and get a zero even if you did your assignments separately and made different mistakes. So yeah, you have to use a PC, there's no way around it. Saville wasn't very helpful. The final is 160 questions but they are really easy. As long as you keep up with the textbook questions, you will do great. You're also allowed a cheat sheet. The quizzes are easy too if you do the readings. If you don't, you can still get a good mark because you have an hour to do them. The assignments are easy for the most part, except the excel one. There isn't any assignment stuff on the final or the quizzes.

This is an incredibly easy, but incredibly stupid course. The auto-marker is very picky and finicky, and the online group discussion is annoying. I basically had to write the entire group discussion myself. Very annoying course.

Easiest course ever. If you can make a word document and a powerpoint you are set. The javascript assignment is annoying but it is only worth 5% so a lot of people don't even do it. Midterm was okay the final was okay. The bonus on the assignments are very easy so do them all, and get the early bonus marks as well.
