I really enjoyed this course, however many people who don't like history found this course really challenging or uninteresting. It's a lot of work in that you need to write three essays throughout the semester, and the final exam was three essays in two hours (whereas the early modern europe history course had no essays during the semester, and two for the final). There was no midterm however. Do the reading, don't write the essays the night before, and participate in seminars and you will do just fine.
