This is a course in Aboriginal studies which uses archaeological, ethno-historical and contemporary research to examine the culture and social organization of First Nations peoples in Canada from their early beginnings to European contact.

Comment :
The course was based around interesting material that could have been made more interesting if taught a bit differently. Most classes lecture material did not go into much depth. For midterms questions could be based on material that was briefly mentioned in class. The textbook for the class was not made available in the bookstores and was only on reserve in the library. It was a really old book that versions could be found on Amazon. A decent course that looked at pre-colonial history of first nations, but not what I was expecting.
