I loved learning about hominids in high school, so i thought i would really enjoy this course. There was way too much science involved when I'm an art student, so this made it very difficult for me. i recommend that you read ALL the readings and study hard for the tests/exams. I found that the exam was SOOOO hard for me personally. I didn't pass this course tbh. good luck though. it was still interesting and i could have done better if i studied more hard.

Very interesting course but need some science background for it. Teacher is good in terms of keeping interest of the class during lecture but I thought the exams were set up very poorly-- I don't believe doing a group exam (with 5 people I've never met) was unfair.

This is a great course, Dr. Finnis is a great prof and very enthusiastic with the course material. There are two videos that we watched in class which were both interesting and informative. There was a skull assessment which was easy to get a good mark in, you worked in group of 5-6. There was also a second test, which was super easy. I would recommend reading the textbook, it is an easy read. There are no essays for the class. However the exam had mc, short answer and long answer.

I absolutely loved this class, extremely interesting and fairly simple if you're willing to put the time into it. Dr. Finnis is pretty funny and she makes the lectures extremely helpful. I had a 3 hour night lecture on thursdays and I loved going. Definitely recommend this for an elective, way more interesting than intro to anthropology!

Awesome course. Really interesting, fun assignments, and it is VERY easy to get a good mark (if you do the two assignments). Also doesn't require writing an essay (AWESOME)
