I enjoyed this course, however I found the lectures near the end of the course really unnecessary to go to. All material is posted online and the midterm/final were very easy with minimal studying. Nutr 3210 was a pre requisite for this course but by the time I took this course the pre-req had been taken off. There is one major project (worth 40%) where you have to research and compare two specific animals and their nutrition, but if you stay on top of it, it can be pretty easy. I found Finegan to be a really good and entertaining prof.

I would definitely recommend this class, especially if you are looking to take it in an otherwise heavy semester. This course had one online \"midterm\" based on a wildlife nutrition themed review from Nutr*3210, which you could sign up to write in the ANNU computer lab over a few timeslots/days. There was a major project which I enjoyed, and I was able to plan for it a bit beforehand then spend reading week working on the project and completing it. The final exam was very easy and I found my studying actually quite wasteful - I feel as though I could have answered the questions without doing much studying at all. I enjoyed going to this class, but the content was always posted beforehand online, so if it was going to be a lecture on a topic I didn\'t care much for, I could skip class and not fall behind or be at a disadvantage for the final.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in animal nutrition. It covered a wide variety of animals, and was marked very fairly. The prof was extremely helpful as where the TA's when it came to asking questions. The content of the class was always posted online and it was marked based on a series of quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. All where very easy to get good marks on!

Whole course was very disorganized, and due dates were never set in stone. Sometimes this was nice, but mostly annoying. Marking was always slow, we didnt know our marks for a huge project going into the final, which is frustrating. On the other hand, the prof was nice, and the projects were interesting. You could make a iPhone app , or a website, or write a paper on a specific wildlife species and its nutrition. Prof was helpful when you went to talk to her, and very keen on making sure you understand. TAs were frustrating, not helpful. Final exam had 2 tentative dates, whichever worked best for you. No textbook needed, but profs notes were very unorganized and repetitive.

Last year is was taught by Prof Finnegan, who i believe was teaching it for the first time. Whole course was very disorganized, due dates would change, and if i remember correctly we went into the final not actually knowing our full mark in the course!! Brutal! You had to do a nutrition project on any animal of your choice, and hand it in as either a presentation, fact sheets, iphone app or a website. you then could chose to do a second project or write the midterm. I did the second project, but i heard the midterm was very easy. Final was fair and straight forward. The material was very basic for the first half of the course, which made it boring. If its more organized and not as basic it would be an amazing course (as im sure it was when Atkinson was teaching it!!!)
