Extremely frustrating class. Very interesting content, if you have/ are interested in horses. It has the potential to be an amazing class... if it wasn't for Laura Graham. You'd think with this being guelph they could find a more qualified prof, but she literally knows nothing about horses and it is very, very frustrating. Also be prepared to study EVERYTHING she ever talked about, even if she barely talked about it, it WILL be on the exam. Its not very difficult material, but there is ALOT of it and you'll need to know it all. Presentation can be easy marks but you will have to study super hard for the midterm and final to pull off a decent mark overall.

I didn't find this course that bad, got an 86. The key is to do well on the midterm, which does require you to study. Old midterms are somewhat helpful to know the format and how much she wants in your answers. The group project isn't hard, as long as you have put some work into it. The final also required you to study. The worst part of this class is Laura Graham.

Worst class EVER. Interesting if you're a horsey kind of person but it's very difficult to enjoy a class when you know the professor can and will test you on the most nit picky fact possible. Everything she emphasized in class was nowhere to be found on the midterm or final. Professor doesn't know the answer to the simplest questions and isn't one to look it up and get back to you at the next lecture to give you an answer. Group project at the end which we all know never works out like it should and the midterm was horrendous. The only fair part of the course was the final.

A pretty good class over all. For the group presentation you are assigned groups with no choice. Make sure you attend lecture. There are things that the prof says in class with emphasis that are not in the notes and they do show up in examinations! It is surprising that there is a guest lecture for the reproduction section considering the prof's area or research is reproduction (in exotics not in horses however).
